Taco Bueno Rolling Out XPIENT's IRIS POS to All Company and Franchisee Stores

Charlotte, NC; November 13, 2006 ~ XPIENT Solutions, LLC today announced that Taco Bueno Restaurants, L.P. is in the process of implementing its IRIS (Intelligent Restaurant Information Systems) point-of-sale (POS) application and several of XPIENT’s enhanced productivity modules at all of its 153 company-owned and franchisee locations. “We picked XPIENT because they far outweighed the competition in meeting our specific needs,” said Jay Reed, Vice President of Information Technology for Taco Bueno®. “Just as important, to date they have delivered on every commitment that they have made to us. Whenever an issue arose they have provided a fast resolution.”

Taco Bueno began their selection process by sending out an elaborate request for proposal to all the leading QSR POS vendors. Their management team scored and evaluated the products. “XPIENT met more of our requirements with their existing product than any of their competitors,” Reed said. “In addition, XPIENT was quick to deliver on the gaps that we identified in their product, even before we signed the contract. We talked to their customers at their user group meeting and discovered that they believe strongly in the product and the team behind it. We also like XPIENT’s alerting capability and will use it for labor management and cash overshorts. When we first saw their product, XPIENT’s ability to accommodate special orders was already strong but with our urging they have raised it to an even higher level.”

Reed added that Taco Bueno rolled out IRIS and XPIENT’s Enterprise Data Manager (EDM), Exception Based Monitoring System (XBMS) including both Visual Dashboard and Real-Time Alerts, credit card and gift cards, labor scheduling, and eKitchen solutions to its first store in November 2006 and expects to have all stores fully implemented by May 2007.
